Lonely Musings

One Of Us

Little balloons I’ll shape
into images so I can relate.

For the time let’s dive alive
into time with hope to survive.

Dancing giants parade us here,
around we’re clowns so dear.

Tell me about the world outside
I’ll tell you it’s more vast and wide.

Just learn to be free thinking
don’t dig down and keep sinking.

Dig deep for some holy grail
and you’ll fall flat and fail.

I’m a prince of clowns tired
and the world outside has expired.

For us we must muck through shit,
to go and feel feelings to try fit.

That a clown like me sees clearly
painted faces get painted fearfully.

We are beautiful but not sirens please
we try to laugh to give a sweet retreat.

I’ve known bottles in distant lands
take one with me places life spans.

The truth it calls you and you it feel,
that all is make believe when really real.

I relate and I understand a circus
I see one so come be one of us.
