Lonely Musings

Platitudes

Revive this issue again,

I know as a friend in the end

is important you see a grin

from my face it lifted a sin.

The sun survives me alive

sunspots take my eyes I cry.

Take my hand let’s jump,

take my hand let’s take a dive.

You’re an angel I can’t conceive

below here in the trees

when your horizon lifts up

each morning and sees me please.

Flow down a mountain top,

where rivers and crops

grow like a spike atop

the sound let us hope it stops.

For a trance has held its sway

for the momentum of the day.

What is this stupid thing I do

here but sit and pray.

Lord the deficit that I’ve had

has always made me glad.

I sacrifice my health all

so you can direct my path.

I see willows in the spring

so I just want to sweetly sing.

My attitude and my ring

of power has platitudes that sting.
