Lonely Musings

Creature Of The Night

Hey there I can see
you clearly as day play
and pass the night away;
I’ll look for innocent prey.

Feast on sight and sound
I do I can’t help it for
it’s in my nature I am so
starved for action and more.

I am a deadly creature so
respect my domain I stain
your mind sometimes as you go
down rivers of caution’s vein.

Yet I care not for material
things discussed in words disgust
hits me and I am being for real
I care not for all such things rust.

I want to be a guardian of
treasures for I see what yours are.
Such a beautiful world of love
reach me not for I find they mar.

My past has made me creature,
see my face I am now changed
with talons, claws and features
that to the world I am estranged.

The night is my stage fitting
it is that I enter misunderstood.
I have needs I seek I’m not sitting
no I look all over for I should.

I am frail sometimes in a
world machine and unclean.
Look and please heed me but stay
for I promise I won’t be mean.

I am cautious myself I cry
in night for those who are
me alike I want to take flight
with so I wont feel alone far.

I feel the world is at my back
hunting me and where I find calm.
I don’t need another heart attack
but rather a calm soothing bond.

Tell me dangers and I’ll share
all that I’ve seen in my sight.
I will tell you of all I’m aware
so we can keep safe not fight.
