Lonely Musings

Original Sin

Scared a little but it’s alright,
this old dog has left in him
one more prize fight
and I love you again.

Let me be myself
or maybe a version I hate
still I’m here with myself
years have led the debate.

Talking like an eagle
I see a serpent its okay.
I know how to guard regal
my path everyday.

I won’t sin no
just a little wine for the glow
that seeps in grows,
then turns as cold as snow.

Must we endure?
Yes to become strong
we must mature
and sing strong songs.

Feel the sun feel free
the glorious sun and sea
is calling for you and me
to let it be and let you see.

That I know games
that you’ve never heard of.
I’m in the hall of fame
when I think clearly you I love.

Stay with me tonight,
stay with me forever.
I know the stars bright
have turned you clever.

Me the same no me too,
maybe I’ve known more
torture to turn me blue
I want someone to adore.

Every night I could dream
of something so true,
as man’s original sins seem
the best thing to do.
