Hitting me in the face
everyday can cruel eyes
tear me apart no trace
will there be of my replies.
I don’t care who looks
at me I do not care now.
This world it has shook
me and my solemn vow.
Protect life and defend
the morals I’ve ingrained
for purpose free of sin
I’ve trained in my brain.
It’s simple and I dine
on the taxing day to say
thank you Lord divine
for the life I live today.
The torture of life has
made me tired and torn.
There are days I question
why I have been born.
There are days I fail
to look in mirrors strait.
There are days I flail
in the present I debate.
I say only life can be so
sweet and freely fair.
For mostly life with no
logic or love is hardly there.
We are the balance we
are the tools for peace
that need to be honest see
we can slay the evil beast.
The heat and disdain of
the day can bear down.
That is why purpose we
seek while above ground.
