Lonely Musings

Dizzy Spells

You don’t know my mind is a lie,
because I’m incapable of sitting
down and looking you in the eye
and know to you I’m bullshitting.

Life is precious to me see
the leaves turn in a breeze
and I seize in a comatose grip
my hands around my sleeves.

I know what’s cold and what’s hot,
the trees I can see move and mist
that I feel cold tells me sometimes
truth you try send to me is a miss.

I’ll hold onto the life in my heart,
though life in me I want a part,
more than you could sway
like cold words you say, truth is art.

Strange is the way we collide
so the truth from you I won’t hide.
I love to love and to laugh its fine
if you don’t find me divine inside.

I know my walk with the Lord
as I left my ways behind a long
time ago its old the liquor is quicker
to dull the sentences you’ve at times said wrong.

I know my mind you can’t tell
me of what you think is my hell
because the Lord gives me hope
while intensity in deceit gives me dizzy spells.
