Lonely Musings

Made In His Image

In The New Testament, Matthew, a tax collector that became an Apostle, and is the First book of what is considered as the authorative message of the Messiah promised in the Mosaic Covenant, it is written:

Chapter 7:12

“Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the LAW of the Prophets.

Specifically indicated in this passage is the principle of brotherly love, and God’s message in its regard, as well as Duty To Thy Neighbor,” or The Second Commandment. Echoed in the New Testament as well by Paul in Romans and Mark, the writer for Peter, who helped establish many early churches.

Romans Chapter 15:1-2.

” Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. 2- Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.

In Mark 12 the parable of the Vineyard Owner is on vivid display. As Jesus came again to Jerusalem as he was walking in the Temple the chief priests, scribes and elders came to him.

John Mark was the attendant and writer for Peter, one of the earliest founders of the Church. In the Book Of Mark Jesus is described as being questioned upon whose, “Authority” was Jesus acting upon when Jesus presented miracles and healed people.

In response to the question Jesus replies with a question, since he knew they had little faith,

Mark 11-29: And Jesus said to them, I will ask you one question, and you answer Me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

30-Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men?…

Essentially asking them how does one become saved, or sins become obsolved. From God or Men? Their answer, after much discussion and assumption, was, “we do not know,”…

So in turn, Jesus, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”(Mark 11:29-33)

In verses 31 through 33, Chief Priests and Elders discuss their reply. Assuming to fool, or test the Son Of God.

Testing ones faith by human hands, it’s not your words, it’s your actions. I have been tested. Tempted, impulses that synapses in my head repeat. Memories. My mood is unbalanced and I do have an anxiety disorder.

The remedy. Time, perspective, focus, kindness, calmness, patience and tranquility heals. But as time passes, we realize how much more human we are. Why? Judgement is not in our hands. But forgiveness is. For as humans we know the heart of Jesus Christ.

For we were made in his image.

Genesis 1:27
