First and foremost I do not interpret the Bible like some do. I love to Study different translations of the Bible and everyone’s experience, if they do so indeed want a relationship with their higher power, this is some of what I believe. I am no book full of wisdom. Yet I seek rest for my soul when I study the Word Of God.
I am no prophet, seer or believe I have in any delusional idea of leading anyone. I have my own battles to fight.
I search for answers and the solutions I find in the sacrifice of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With in whom I believe.
Out of despair and darkness I found numbing the pain led me down a path of destruction. I know that the Lord knows me. I want everyone to know what has brought me inner peace.
That hole in our hearts we fill with gladness, I fill with introspection. The Bible, to me, helps one do that. It begs a person to understand the will of God. The creator of all things up on high and low. I know I know nothing.
In Proverbs the Bible speaks of wisdom and how wisdom is a state of mind that never stops learning. It speaks of the principles that bring us together in the fabric of time and space.
Christ Jesus spoke these words at the Sermont Of The Mount:
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:34) ESV
Which to me summed up means to be in control of only what you can control. But so much more is here to unpack.
The day is full of deceit and peril, each and every day. My thoughts are that we should walk each and every day to examine our own defects.
God is a jealous God. Jealous for the love of his creations. Which is our souls he empowers within us every day.
Exo 20:5 (ESV)
“… for I the Lord your God am a jealous God…”
I feel doubt sometimes, I have many anxieties and faults. I know no one is perfect. We are God’s creation. Fashioned from dust of the ground that the Lord breathed life into.
Gen 2:7 (ESV)
“Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
Everyones experience with the Lord is different. They either embrace him or hold a grudge for the way their lives turned out. For every pain, God’s grace is sufficient.
” And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
When the Bible speaks of Grace, I find in my opinion, I think of the comfort that comes from a Creator to its creation. Grace, in the Lord’s eye is found in the Word of God. In the Word is comfort. For the weaknesses we have aren’t seen as disadvantages in the Lord’s Grace. In His Word.
(1 John 1:1-2 NASB)
What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life-
2-And the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us-
Hope. Redemption, faith…filling that hole that needs the fame, the lust, the greed.
In Peter 1:20 (NASB) it says:
For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world…
In Peter 1:17 (NASB) Peter speaks of the redemptive act of our conduct during our time on this sphere.
17: ‘If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during your stay on earth.’ (NASB)
In regards to the things we think of as so important, our relationship with our Higher Power that humbles us, keeps us in check so that we may be weary of our own words, actions and intentions. What is in the heart, if your intentions are known only to yourself, think again. God sees our heart.
We were redeemed through a reconciliation with our maker.
2 Corinthians 5:19-
‘namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them.’
How many times have you tried to understand someone? How many times have you been empathetic? A Creator of life, the Creator of the entire World we know as it exists, wants that relationship with you.
The Word of God, the Bible, in its entirety, says it plainly.
The Doctrine Of Reconciliation shows examples. In (Hebrews, 2:17)-
“… to make propriation for the sins of the people.” (Hebrews 2:17) God made us capable of understanding his love. God Breathed Life is a main aspect to the concept of Reconciliation. The darkness did not know the light. As it states in:
John 1:5-
v5. ‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.’ (NASB)
But God’s Word in Luke describes the tender mercies of the Lord Our God.
Luke 1:78-“Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,
79- To SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.”
(NASB)
I have always felt the path or direction of my life was purpose filled. That I did my duty for the honor of being able to contribute to something decent, kind, true and genuinely heart felt. I’ve needed smiles at times just to lift my day. God is everywhere.
I see him in the Sunrise, and hear of his beauty from the birds of the sky. Darkness does exist. We have all experienced the darkness and the adversary, in the Garden of Eden man was damned, in the walk and journey of life God has provided a solution for the salvation of our souls.
I should not be blind to see it. I should open my heart more. I’ve always expected the worst in people, just so I wouldn’t be disappointed. Because the disappointments are heavy. And that’s why God’s mercy is so redemptive. Because he gives freely a path to eternal life and then does not stop loving us, even if we fail to love him back.
Maybe it’s the darkness in my heart, in all our hearts, that makes me reach for the things that I think matter so much in my life.
Love. Relationships. I must be right with MY walk with God before I could ever begin to start pretending to know what’s best for others.
Truth and reality can be distorted by what an ear hears and is translated to another ear verbally. When written, there is no room for misinterpation of facts. What’s factual is truth and God is Truth. Wisdom comes from knowing we don’t know the mind of God.
We are no gods. We can only have one Master. We must be master of ourselves in our walk with our higher power. I know my higher power, if you want to call it God or whatever a person’s truth is that humbles them. I appreciate being humbled so that I can see what’s most important to me and if someone decided to profess what they believe let them profess it every day. It doesn’t bother me. If someone believes in the life of free living, then free live and be courteous, respectful, honest, and oh yeah…
The Bible speaks of what love is. It’s not just an emotion. It requires us to sacrifice what we believe is so important in the world for that which is divine.
