Lonely Musings

Trail Of Some Scale

I sung a song long ago
one of love and sweet lullabies
that repeats heavily my ego
helps my weakness by my side.

Stride to confide a rich tone
to attone for a life of pain.
I’ve been in the fold I roam
in righteous glimmers of rain.

Felt the fever hit a clever
strike of luck and stuck true
to the man I was forever I’m
a man who was and still is blue.

No matter the colors of a rainbow
and how they shine for all to see.
Blue is my sky and forever the sea
will bleed in me endlessly.

I’ve discovered her in shapes
unknown to man and cold deep
does the depth below I don’t know
how deep is a good sleep.

Nights traverse my sky
and black trails to impale
the scale I walk is so fraily wry
that every scar turns me to hell.
